Looking for a place where your children can learn to create almost anything? Then look no further than Paint Me a Picture, a fun-filled creative art program that encourages kids to explore their imaginations through art, music, children’s books and self-discovery. Paint Me a Picture, believes that their art studio is a place where kids can learn about art, have fun exploring their imaginations and, above all, be comfortable with who they are. The studio offers a variety of classes, like “Mommy and Me” classes titled “Les Petite Artistes” which starts at 24 months, and “Play and Paint,” a first time separation class which introduces shapes, colors and lots more to 2½ and 3-year-olds through paint, collage, printing and drawing. Their “Crazy Circles” range from 2½ years old to 5, and they also offer 2 hour lunch and/or snack programs. All classes use unique methods, like dancing to music and listening to children’s books, to get the children’s creative juices flowing. There are also classes for kindergartners through 5th grade like “Art Safari,” “Beyond the Sea & Space” and “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” which exposes budding artists to drawing, painting, sculpting and collage, allowing the student more freedom and supporting a more sophisticated level of creation. And they love doing birthday parties! Remember: A true artist does not know what is around the corner until one gets there...so peek around that corner with Paint Me a Picture!
Paint Me a Picture is something of a life long dream. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to have my own art studio... a place where I can teach kids about art... a place where children can have fun exploring their own imaginations, while appreciating their creativity... a place where children can feel comfortable to be just who they are. Art is a process... it's an exploration through one's wondrous imagination. And as we go along this journey, we will learn about the elements of art: color, line shape, texture and form, and how to use our senses to appreciate "all sorts of everything" around us through children's books, art history, music and dance. My philosophy is such that I want children to think not just about what is in the box, but what is in the back of the box, on top of the box, under the box, behind the box...The whole 360. Paint Me A Picture is not only about teaching art, it's about promoting creative thinking, something so essential in helping our children succeed in today's educational environment.
I am so excited to finally make my dream come true, so please come by and "PAINT ME A PICTURE"
